I figured it was time to update everyone on the happenings in the Henderson household.
The biggest news since my last post is that we had my fundraiser. Aside from the weather, it was an absolute perfect day. I had chemo that Wednesday before, and was worried about being sick or too tired to attend. Thankfully, I was able to attend the entire thing. I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am for that day and everyone who came out to support me and my family. We are beyond grateful and blessed.
Other than that, we have just been living. We actually have a little normalcy to our days. Chemo has been good to me so far, so we have been making routines and working on trying to just live our life as best we can.
We have been receiving meals three times a week from the wonderful ladies in the MOPS group I joined. God knew I would need people so he brought that wonderful group of women into my life. They set up a meal train so that we get three meals delivered a week. It has truly been a lifesaver.
This Wednesday is my last dose of the “Red Devil.” I have made it through three treatments with very minimal side effects, and I couldn’t be more thankful and more proud of the way I tolerated it. I start my next regimen on November 7th. That will be the beginning of my weekly treatments that will take me through January and most likely into February a little bit. I don’t yet know much about this next chemo medication. I hope and pray that I tolerate it just as well.
